Firefox is one of the best internet browsers availiable today. It is much more secure than Internet Explorer, and is also much more customizable. I definately suggest giving it a try. |

If Sure, Microsoft Office is a great piece of software, but it is very expensive. If you want something that works like, looks like, and even can interact with Micrsoft Office but you don't want to pay the price, then Open Office is for you. The best part: Its free! |

Not everyone feels the need to pay 50, 60 or even 70 dollars for anti-virus, and I don't blame these people. Very few people actually have documents or images that need to be secured very well. Most people would get along with a free anti-virus program, and Avast is just that; even though it is free, it is still very secure, so go ahead and give it a try. |

How many instant messaging programs do you have installed on your computer? Two? Three? Four or More? Sure, you could install AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, and many of the other messagers available today seperately, or just use Trillian. it groups all your IM accounts into one slick messenger with tons of features. |

Why pay for expensive sound editing programs when audacity can do all they do; record whats playing, line in, add effects,split, silence, etc. If you have never done sound editing but want to try, give this software a try. Its a lot of fun. |

WinZip is a great program, but $40 is a lot to pay if you will only use it occasionally. 7-Zip does the same thing as WinZip, only its free. It can't get much better than that. |

If you have ever used Windows Paint program, you know how easy it is to use, and how much fun it can be. The only problem; it does not have a lot of advanced features. That's where Paint.net comes in. It works in the same fashion as Windows Paint, but with more advanced features. If you do a lot of photo editing, you will love this program. |
